「浪漫」二字本為外來語，為日本大文豪夏目漱石引介西方文學時擷取漢字而譯，爾後輾轉發展為現意。
十八世紀末，當歐洲「啟蒙時代」的極致理性正興，德國卻掀起了另一股訴求向內探詢靈魂、向外共鳴自然的哲思風潮。德國浪漫主義的時代於是來臨，影響世人迄今。
歷史的發展總是帶著宿命般的重複與對照。去年藝術季以「AI」為題，向外探勘了人類未來的邊界，今年我們則選擇回望人心。2026台積心築藝術季以「召喚浪漫」為題，我們欲與哲思高峰共鳴，召喚那份曾經為了反叛極致理性，而熱烈擁抱直覺與深邃情感的溫柔。
為了探看這股思潮及其對爾後世人的深遠影響，首先，藝術季特別策劃了系列主題講座，由知名作家吳億偉擔任策展人，邀請萬壹遵、朱家安、楊尹瑄等各領域名家，藉由文學的感性、哲學的辯證、繪畫藝術的意境，乃至於承載集體潛意識的格林童話，多維度地剖析浪漫主義如何形塑了現代人的內在世界。
在傳統戲曲上，我們將看見浪漫精神在當代的傳承與激盪。「當代傳奇劇場」的創團劇作《慾望城國》橫跨四十年，開啟了京劇與現代劇場跨界之先河；京劇大師吳興國、魏海敏攜手朱柏澄、黃若琳傳承共演，以東方的戲曲語彙重新詮釋莎士比亞悲劇經典；台灣布袋戲國寶操偶師李天祿第三代傳人黃僑偉則攜手現代劇場導演符宏征，昇華布袋戲經典《巧遇姻緣》，大俠葉不凡將打破空間及語言的桎梏，在現代劇場中的江湖懲奸除惡。
古典音樂則是為您呈現浪漫主義影響下的音樂對話。萊比錫布商大廈管弦樂團與指揮大師尼爾森斯將帶來華格納《女武神》歌劇第一幕音樂會：華格納筆下最具企圖心的歌劇鉅作，三位拜魯特頂級聲樂家將以磅礡氣勢，以華麗的樂音將人類情感推向極致；國家交響樂團與小提琴家艾拉貝拉．史坦巴赫攜手演奏布拉姆斯小提琴協奏曲，我們將感受布拉姆斯為嚴謹的交響結構所注入的滾燙的靈魂獨白。法國的優雅精神也將在臺中國家歌劇院與臺南大學分別以創新及傳統展現；兩位新銳法國藝術家，結合音樂、雜耍及科技影像，帶來如夢似幻的鋼琴音像劇場《Piano piano》；當代最具影響力的法國鋼琴家巴佛傑則首度蒞臨府城，以其卓越的技巧，演譯拉威爾《夜之加斯巴》、《庫普蘭之墓》等精彩曲目。最後，鋼琴女神王羽佳將於高雄衛武營國家藝術文化中心首演，讓南部樂迷一睹風采。
回歸家園，藝術季邀請三組優秀藝文團隊為社區獻藝：屢獲文化部Taiwan Top團隊肯定的巴雀藝術，以精緻的弦樂四重奏引領我們聆聽台灣作曲家吳宇晨心中客家山林的日出印象；台中優秀馬戲團──創造焦點，則將帶來由安徒生童話所改編的《小丑八怪》以馬戲元素──雜耍、疊羅漢、高空表演，傳遞社會夢想及溫暖；承繼戲曲傳承之火的清華大學京劇社則首度受邀，演出骨子老戲《紅鬃烈馬》，為傳統遞上新薪，大眾將共感經典的亙久的生命力。
當時代的巨輪無法停歇，我們越需要放慢，細看靈魂的腳步。2026台積心築藝術季是台積電文教基金會獻給我們家園的一首抒情詩。邀請您入座，聆聽每個音符，端看每個轉身，感受藝術家們為藝術奉獻的熾熱──喜與悲、淚和汗──讓我們共同召喚浪漫，回望人心。
